The WHO has announced the arrival of a 78.5-ton emergency medical shipment from its Dubai hub to Afghanistan. The cargo includes measles treatment kits, pneumonia medications, nutritional supplies for severely malnourished children, surgical equipment, etc.
The shipment will assist over 419,000 people and enable 13,600 vital surgeries across the country. WHO also thanked the UAE for facilitating the transfer and expressed gratitude to donors and partners for their constant support of life-saving aid to Afghanistan.
