DABS has announced that the CASA-1000 regional project in Afghanistan is nearly 75% complete. According to officials, the project is being implemented simultaneously in three sections. Adding that Afghanistan will earn $65 million annually in transit fees from the electricity passing through its territory.

UN-Habitat with support from JICA and the Japanese Embassy, is rebuilding infrastructure in Afghan cities and suburbs, addressing years of conflict, disasters and underinvestment. The projects aim to restore key services, improve living conditions and boost resilience, stressing the need for continued international support for sustainable urban growth.

Following widespread complaints over an unprecedented rise in house rents, the Ministry of Justice during a joint meeting with representatives from intelligence authorities, police command and Kabul municipality has announced that any increase in residential rent across Kabul and other provinces exceeding 10% during the current year is prohibited, emphasizing that any violations will result in legal prosecution.
