‘Economic Dawn’ Exhibition: Calling for Greater Entrepreneurial Support

A four-day “Economic Dawn” exhibition in Kabul brought together around 120 booth (half of them run by women) showcasing products from a range of sectors and drawing strong public interest, especially among female visitors. Organized by UN Women, Afghanistan Economic Initiative and other partner institutions to promote domestic production and entrepreneurship.

Women exhibitors state that the event offers an important opportunity not only to sell their products but also to expand their businesses and explore future export potential while also calling for reduced costs and greater institutional support to help women entrepreneurs participate more broadly in such platforms. Visitors praised the growing presence of women in business describing the exhibition as a positive sign of self-reliance and economic progress.

Organizers and participants noted that such exhibitions help connect producers with customers and improve market access. They stressed that expanding these opportunities is essential for strengthening entrepreneurship and supporting further economic growth in the country.
